My new favorite show! I wish I could dance like this, but that ship has sailed, I suppose...

Girl's Night
Well, sorry for anyone who has been coming to the blog to see no updates. I recently started back at work full-time, so between work, school & family I haven't had a whole lot of time. I did take some time out to have an awesome night out with some old (not age-wise) girlfriends - Tina, Kathee, Lisa, Audree, Stacy & of course, me! We had some drinks, food, laughs, some chaos, but all in all it ended well...
So, we all headed to Portsmouth in Audree's awesome, huge vehicle and had a couple of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn. (I must admit that's probably one of the nicest places I've ever stayed at - it's no Holiday Inn Express, Tina). From there we attempted to walk towards the waterfront to The Oar House (yes, we all know how that sounds when spoken), and took an unexpected tour of downtown Portsmouth. After about an hour, and what should have taken just a few minutes (apparently we all have a horrible sense of direction), we made it there but didn't stop for drinks (why? I can't remember). So.... we continued walking back into downtown and realized we were just moments away from our hotel. We ultimately ended up at the Gaslight eating on the outdoor deck - we never left. What a great place to go hang out and have dinner.... we stayed, listened to the band, and chatted... Ultimately we decided to go upstairs to the club & do some dancing... That was fun, until.......
Lisa was robbed! It was crazy! 2 crazy girls ganged up on her and stole her wallet right out of her hand! It's unbelievable how there are people out there who have no regard or respect for other people. The one girl (thug) who "attacked" Lisa completely denied it. LOSER! Anyway.... to make a long story short the wallet was found (no cash in it, of course), but everything else was there. So, here are some pictures of our night:

Happy 4th of July!
Well, here we are again... it's the 4th of July. It seems like just the other day it was Christmas and we had 3 feet of snow on the ground. Oh, yeah... that's right... it was just the other day! I think we had snow on the ground until mid-April. I must say, though, that other than Christmas this is my favorite time of year. There's nothing like sitting by the pool, having barbecues, staying up late, going to watch the fireworks, having campfires in our backyard and just enjoying the warm weather. I think that us New Englanders appreciate and embrace this weather so much because it is very short-lived. I don't know why, but I've always considered the 4th mid-way through summer. I know that's not true, but it seems like after Independence Day the summer just flies right by, school's starting up again and we go through another cycle of changing seasons.
Well, just for the sake of sharing a picture, the following is one of my little 'T' last year...
Have a safe & Happy 4th, everyone!
